Facebook is developing a campaign with McDonalds to provide check in offers to the burger joint’s visitors. With 100 million of Facebook’s users accessing the social media site through their mobile, the potential of this kind of offer looks massive. 60% of mobile internet use is social networking
April 25, 2010A recent report by US research company, Ground Truth has revealed that 60% of internet use in The States is for social networking. Mobile Social media has thought to represent a significant amount of mobile internet use, but this report reveals the extent. In the UK, ComScore’s Mobile Media Metrics reported that Facebook was the most used mobile web site.
This usage is significant from a mobile marketing perspective: marketers will need to consider mobile social media as an integral part of their strategy.
